HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE

WHAT IS [HBP]:

A condition in which the force of blood against the artery wall is too high.

normal range =120/80 mmHg , HBP = above 140/90 mmHg , severe HBP =above 180/120 mmHg.

SYMPTOMS:

Most of the peoples with HBP have no signs and symptoms, but few peoples with HBP may have headaches, dyspnea, epistasis, dizziness, chest pain, visual changes, etc.

CAUSE :

  • Primary hypertension: due to – genetic inheritance and sedentary lifestyle; sedentary lifestyle means -irregular exercise and improper diet.
  • Secondary hypertension: Several conditions that lead to secondary hypertension – kidney disease, obstructive sleep apnea, congenital heart defects thyroid problems, side effects of medication, etc.

–> Stress-induced hypertension -Stress is a feeling of emotional or physical tension. Nowadays this is very common.

The body produces a surge of hormones when in a stressful situation. These hormones increase BP by causing the heart to beat faster and blood vessels to narrow.

REQUIRES A MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS :

HBP has no symptoms mostly, if overtime it left untreated then it may cause health conditions like – heart disease and strokes.

HOW TO REDUCE HBP INSTANTLY THROUGH NATUROPATHY :

  • Footbath in lukewarm water with cold compress [cold pack / cold cloth ] on the head [for 15-20 minutes].
  • Cold spinal massage with an ice bag or cold sponging on the spine [for 10 minutes].
  • Slow and deep breathing in fresh air [for 10-15 minutes ].

DIET FOR HTN :

7:30 am – 3spoon of aloe vera juice and 3 spoons of giloy juice

9:30 am – veg daliya / veg khichadi

12:30- 1:30 pm – 2 chapatis + 1 bowl daal +boiled veg [more amount ] + raita

2:30 pm – bel juice or lauki juice [ 1 glass ]

4:30 pm – seasonal fruit

6-7pm – 2 chapatis + boiled veg [ more amount ] + mix veg soup [ 1 bowl ]

8:00 pm -Either arjun chhal ka kadha [ 1/4 glass ] or 200 ml milk

  • Salted butter and processed cheese.
  • Salt at the table
  • Baked product as bread, cakes, etc.

  • Yogasanas: yogic exercises enhance the production of endorphins [hormone] in our body which improves our mood. The asanas are as – Tadasana, Ardhakatichakrasana, Pavanmuktasana, Bhujangasana, Rajarani asana, and Shavasana.
  • Pranayama: pranayama improves oxygen saturation in our body. The pranayamas are as – Anulome-vilome , chandrabhedi pranayama, Sheetali pranayama, Sheetkari pranayama, bhramari pranayama.
  • Relaxation techniques: The relaxation techniques helps a person to relax to attain a state of increased calmness. The relaxation techniques are as – Yognidra and Deep relaxation technique [DRT].
